Today, I am proud to be myself. I work tirelessly, and I love what I do. I love creating—telling stories that make people think, that might change the way someone sees the world, even for a moment. I’m driven by an insatiable curiosity, a need to learn, to question what I think I know, and to understand others at their depths.

But mostly, I believe my purpose on this earth is the expedition—the adventure—to be in constant motion, seeking to understand people at their darkest corners. Because it’s from that place, I believe, that we grow and move. And maybe that will never grant me full satisfaction, but I can take immense solace in knowing that this is who I am.

And knowing who you are—truly knowing it at your heart—is the greatest gift I’ve discovered in this life so far.
