About:
Bella Cvengros is an actor and playwright from Northern California.
She studied at A.C.T. Theater in San Francisco, and performed in regional theater—including the West Coast premiere of The Wolves by Sarah DeLappe—before earning her B.A. studying Acting and Playwriting at USC. While there, she built her on-camera experience through a co-star role in a feature film and lead performances in short films such as Yes, And!, A Natural Disorder of Things, and Just Pizza.
Hot off a sold-out run of her play Moonshine and Canned Pasta—which she wrote and starred in—at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, she made the move from L.A. to New York City. Since then, she’s been active in the city’s downtown theater scene, most recently writing and performing in Baby Teeth’s first staged reading at Playwrights Horizons Studios, performing in a short play festival at AMT Theater, and starring in The Dirty Ladies... at BCC.
CURRENTLY, Cvengros is presenting two new works—BABY TEETH and SABINE Women (or Pilgrim Play)—in a residency at IRT Theater.
